I’ve been MIA and the sight has been quiet. It’s been noted. Those that know me personally understand how hectic my lifestyle is and learned to adapt to its unpredictability. Let me assure you though that my hiatus has been nothing short of productive.
With the world’s most watched sporting event, the FIFA World Cup upon us, I thought it fitting to write an article of a shoot I did sometime ago.
For those that don’t know, the 20th FIFA World Cup is taking place in Brazil, the second time they have hosted the tournament, the last being in 1950. This month long tournament has 32 qualified nations and will play a total of 64 matches across 12 cities. Since the tournaments inception, no European team has won the World Cup in South America in six attempts. A first for the tournament will be the much debated and controversial use of goal line technology.
The collaboration of two of the world’s biggest brands, adidas and Diesel… in denim. This bargain find, yes another bargain find, was purchased from the adidas Factory Outlet in Melbourne. With its retail price tag of $800 reduced at 50% OFF to $400, this limited release had to be mine!
This football inspired outfit, I wear adidas’ dark blue denim jacket with stand collar and gold accents to the adidas trefoil symbol and signature three stripes, Mish Mash’s ‘Perfect 10’ black and gold polo (the number 10 is predominantly worn by the playmakers on the field), Connor jeans, adidas Pilot Porsche design shoes (another powerhouse brand collaboration) accessorised with Diesel’s XL series watch and Bijoux loop earring.
